2020 has been a wild, difficult, and unexpected year, bringing massive challenges not only to us at Enjoy The Work, but to most businesses around the globe.
Despite the curveballs, we’re both proud and honored to share that the Enjoy The Work family has grown substantially since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. So far in 2020, we’ve opened our doors up to 17 new portfolio companies, ranging widely in verticals, stages, and founder backgrounds. The common denominator? Good people doing great things.
In addition to our traditional work providing individual support to founders, this year we expanded our offering to include group workshops and training. We’ve received a tremendous amount of interest in our founder content from such distinguished firms as Berkeley SkyDeck, BDC Women in Technology Venture Fund, the Canadian Technology Accelerator (CTA), Spero Ventures, Google For Startups (GFS), and more. Special thanks to Caroline Winnet at SkyDeck, Michelle Scarbourough and Erika Kurczyn at BDC, Thierry Lu and Scott Giesbrecht at CTA, and Jason Scott at GFS.
“We had the privilege to participate in dozens of leadership meetings as our founders adjusted to a cascade of challenges – shelter in place, the pandemic, geo-political unrest, a divisive election, unprecedented job loss,” says Enjoy The Work founder, Jonathan Lowenhar. “It has been an honor to play a role in the process as our founders stayed committed and found ways to adapt and succeed.”
We wanted to take a moment to briefly recap the latest companies to join our community. While some are newer additions than others, we’re extending a big welcome to all of who have chosen to include us in their journeys in 2020.
